MATERIALS

Materials

Fine-ish. Not flimsy.

Sorta Fine Jewelry Co. lives in the sweet spot between costume jewelry and traditional fine jewelry.

We use materials that let you get the look, sparkle, and feel of fine jewelry without the fine-jewelry price tag — and without pretending a $20 piece of costume jewelry is meant to last forever.

Our materials vary by piece, so always check the individual product description for exact specifications.

Gold Vermeil

Gold vermeil gives you the look of solid gold without the solid-gold price.

Our vermeil pieces are made with a sterling silver base and finished with a layer of real gold.

Translation: it’s actual precious metal underneath — not mystery metal.

Like any plated jewelry, the gold finish can naturally wear over time depending on how often you wear it, your skin chemistry, and how you care for it. Treat it well and it’ll stay pretty much longer.

Sterling Silver

Sterling silver is a precious metal made primarily from pure silver, with a small amount of other metal added for strength.

It’s durable enough for everyday jewelry, but it can naturally tarnish over time.

That doesn’t mean your jewelry is ruined. A gentle polish can usually bring the shine right back.

Moissanite

We use moissanite — never cubic zirconia — when a piece calls for serious sparkle without a diamond price tag.

Moissanite is a durable gemstone known for its brilliance, fire, and diamond-like appearance.

Basically: very sparkly, very pretty, very much not CZ.

Our Standard

Affordable jewelry shouldn’t automatically mean disposable jewelry.

And whether we’d actually want to wear it ourselves

Sorta Fine isn’t trying to be traditional fine jewelry.

It’s jewelry for the in-between — better than costume, more attainable than fine, and cute enough to wear constantly.

Sorta fine. Very intentional.
